2021 Mazda Brand Ranks #1

How Was Mazda Ranked

Every year, a non-bias 3rd party compiles an Overall Score report card for every major vehicle brand, that factors in road tests, owner satisfaction reviews, predicted reliability, and vehicle safety. They also evaluates the overall greenness and the general scores of each make and model. Between 2020 and 2021, the Mazda Brand has moved from 3rd place up to 1st on this report card.

After the company tested all seven (7) of Mazda's models in production, they recommended every single model to their readers! This includes the coupe, sedan and hatchback, and all four crossover SUV options. You can read more about their scoring factors below.

Scoring Details

Green Choice: Ratings in which vehicles are rated for levels of greenhouse gas and smog-forming (nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds), that threats human health.

Owner Satisfaction: Surveys taken by brand owners who rate the probability of purchasing the same brand again. This provides a predictive insight into the satisfaction of the brand and the specific vehicle as a whole.

Predicted Reliability: Surveys that review 17 "trouble areas" that are designated to report main vehicle problems, which allow them to rate predictive reliability.

Road-Test Score: With a variation of test and evaluations, counting up to 50 and counting, the un-biased company takes each brand through a variety of insightful examinations.

Safety: Tests that review the safety features that are standard on all trims, allowing crash-test assessments to evaluate the value in safety of each brand.
